Suggest a Title (can we reach 7 million?)
This article is interesting, really interesting. I particularly like the idea around composition. The premise suggests that the greater skill for an artist, operating in the 21st Century, is that of orchestration (putting pieces of music together), and not the mastery of the tool (a musical instrument) itself.

This argument is over-simplified by far, if not highly contestable, but perhaps there is something in this for local government and the management of ICT and services. It is not how we master any one service or piece of technology, but rather how we procure, marry, and even divorce those entities. This is not a one-time purchase, but something that adapts and changes over the course of time (a short time even). The logical conclusion, in the case of Eno, is that productivity is greatly enhanced.
“A conventional artist cranking out five paintings a day would need about 42,000 years to make 77 million paintings. If I spent my whole life trying to make all these paintings as separate entities, I wouldn’t have gotten through even one ten thousandth of the number that this thing can generate.”
